Postcard from Finland!

Today I got a great postcard from Finland! The postcard shows the Northern Lights as seen from one of the country's wintry forests. The Northern Lights, also known as the aurora borealis, are a natural display of lights typically seen from the extreme northern or southern latitudes. They are caused by the entrances of charged particles into the atmosphere, which then react to emit these lights. Higher altitudes produce red auroras but green auroras are more common throughout the region. The card is an official Postcrossing card, FI-2209774. Thanks Minna!
