Postcard from Cambodia!

Today I got a nice postcard from Cambodia! The postcard features Siem Reap, a city in northwestern Cambodia. The city is most known for being the gateway to the Angkor region and is therefore one of the most visited cities in the country. The city was first settled in the early 9th century and its name translates to the "Defeat of Siam", the rivals of the Khmer people. The city has many architecturally distinct structures dating from the colonial period. The card was sent by April form Taiwan who visited Cambodia. The postcard is an official Postcrossing card, TW-1335881. Thanks April!
