Postcard from Iraq!

Today I got a nice postcard from Iraq! The postcard shows views of the capital city, Baghdad. Iraq, officially known as the Republic of Iraq, is a Western Asian country with a population of about 36 million people. The region of Mesopotamia is home to some of the world's oldest civilizations. The historic country has recently suffered from a number of wars and insurgencies. It occupies a total area of about 437,000 square kilometres and its official languages are Arabic and Kurdish.
