Postcard from Belgium!

Today I got a nice postcard from Belgium! The postcard shows a nighttime aerial view of the sprawling Espace Léopold complex. The complex houses the parliament buildings of the European Parliament. It was first completed in 1995 and has since had many extensions. It is located in the eastern part of Brussels and it has 17 floors. Interestingly, it is not the official seat of the parliament, which is in Strasbourg. Since many other European institutions are in Brussels, this complex was built in order to have the parliament in closer proximity to the other institutions. Most of the activities are held here.
