Postcard from Japan!

Today I got a cool postcard from Japan! The postcard shows a scene in the Ise Grand Shrine. The Ise Grand Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in the city of Ise. It is dedicated to the goddess Ameterasu-ōmikami and the shrine is more commonly known as Jingū. The shrine is actually a large shrine complex with two main shrines. It is considered to be one of Shinto's holiest shrines and access is mostly restricted. The chief priest must come from the Japanese Imperial family. The postcard is an official Postcrossing card, JP-572243. Thanks Hiroshi!
