Postcard from Indonesia!

Today I got a nice postcard from Indonesia! The postcard shows three women performing a traditional dance called the peacock dance. Originally from the 1950's and 1960's, it is a type of dance common in Java. The costumes are distinctive because of their color and design, which are supposed to emulate the peacock's feathers. It is a very jovial and positive dance and is often used to welcome guests. Thanks Zwesty!
