Postcard from Canada!

Today I got a cool postcard from Canada! The postcard features the popular Musical Ride of the iconic Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The Musical Ride is a formal equestrian show put on by Canada's "Mounties", as they are popularly called. It was made to showcase the equestrian skills of members of the force and to promote national identity and cultural heritage. Members come from the regular force and stay with the Musical Ride for three years. The earliest Musical Rides featured British cavalry drills and these still form the backbone of the show.
